London travel cards from the Chelmsford area.
So I can't seem to find a cheaper way of getting a couple of London travelcards for Saturday from chelmsford. Myself and the missus. Works out expensive buying a return to Liverpool st and a travelcard from there?

I went for a beer with my brother, then realised I had the house keys, both sets actually.

The other half had to drive to Mile End to pick me up and take me back to Chelmsford.
She wasn't particularly impressed.

Don't they do those two together railcards nowadays? No idea how much the upfront cost is, but might be useful if you two travel together often.

2.5 hours to get from Liv St to Shenfield where we all got booted off. Had to get the missus to pick me up from there. No chance of getting on a further train with about 5 full trains worth of people there!

Gutted, yes I was.

Just an idea but have you tried your regional train website?

Theres a 'Two Together Railcard' that gives 1/3 off rail fares in your region if it's participating?

Yes that is the one Def I saw that at Brentwood on Sunday so as it is the same line would have thought it would be the same deal.

Eddie B - I was royally stuffed Friday evening. Ended up getting C2C from Fenchurch Street to Laindon, where Mrs Westside kindly picked me up and took me home.

A mate took two hours not to get to Stratford from Liverpool Street. Stuck on train between stations. He got to Chelmsford after 3 hours and change.

Who got stuck on the Liverpool St line on Friday afternoon? I missed it as I had a day off, but it took some people five hours to get home.
